Fernando de la Rocque
Rio de Janeiro, 1979.
Fernando de La Rocque creates his authentic, Brasilian art, using several medias: drawing, painting, sculpture, object and site-specific works, with the belief that the most propicious place for the shelter and propagation of art is the space right behind the eyes of the viewers: the memory of people. Coloured human-shaped body Mandalas, in sexual orgies, paintings, made with hallucinogen smoke... those are some of the elements which are present in the psychedelic, controversial work of the artist.
Exhibitions at espace_L: GVA_RIO, L'Herbe Folle, Phryctoria; la Couleur de la Peau
